Elia Varini, born in Locarno in 1995, attended an art high school in Lugano and graduated in 2015. During his time in art school, he became interested in the world of graffiti, a form of painting that over the years evolved into an abstract language. From 2016 to 2019, he lived in Zurich, where he apprenticed as a painter while continuing to create art on canvas and walls. He also participated in several group exhibitions and live painting performances. From 2020 onwards, he has been moving between Central America and Ticino, Switzerland, and has authored two books featuring short stories, poetry, and photography. Amid his travels, projects, and painting, he has also worked on film productions in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, specifically in the set design department.
